Worth 5,000 Words

Here are my pictures from today's field trip to the mountains.

Was it a church? Might have been.

But something went terribly wrong.

Now it's a rundown shack.

A closer look reveals a theological problem:

the old church was disconnected from the Power.

At one point, I was nearly attacked by Kamikaze Hummingbirds.

Unlike the dilapidated church, they were full of life.

The mountain view from my undisclosed location is amazing.

A misty sky swirls around my head.

For a few moments, I pretend that I'm in the highlands of Scotland.

After an hour of studying Psalm 12, I write a new tune as a way of praying the text.

Yes, that's my trusty Melodica in the bottom of the picture. (I've had it since 1980, and it still works fine. Mostly.)

Any chance of putting your new tune up as an audio file?

Thanks for asking - let me ask the kids how to do that. I'm sure it involves recording the tune on my keyboard, which might take a while.

Meanwhile I hope to post another new (or at least fairly recent) composition on our www.presbybop.com website.

Having a great time, with a nice stretch of family time coming up.

All the best,
bc
